We are seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically driven Analytical Scientist to support Extractables and Leachables (E&L) testing in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves operating advanced analytical instrumentation (GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS), performing rigorous data analysis, and authoring high-quality technical documentation to support regulatory compliance and client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform E&L testing using GC-MS, LC-MS, and/or ICP-MS in a GMP-compliant laboratory.
• Analyze complex data sets to assess product safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Author clear, scientifically sound technical reports, protocols, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and verify test results for accuracy and consistency with regulatory standards; escalate anomalies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with cGxP and GDP standards.
• Calibrate, verify, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods.
• Support method development and validation, including protocol drafting and documentation.
• Participate in training activities, both as a learner and mentor, with a focus on documentation best practices.
• Maintain lab supplies, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of industry experience, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with GC-MS, LC-MS, and/or ICP-MS instrumentation.
• Demonstrated experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory.
• Proven ability to write and review detailed technical documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with LIMS and data analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Details:

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm . Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
