Schedule: 9/80 Every other Friday off Job Description: Responsible for performing a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations, which may include skilled hand work or the use of automated production equipment, in a Repair and Overhaul environment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents using work instructions, Engineering direction and print specifications. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. May provide training to less experienced team members. Participates in program or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling. Essential Functions: + Must be able to use basic hand tools and fixturing + Prior solder experience required in a manufacturing environment, J-STD certification a plus + Must use PPE appropriate to the use of chemicals and protection from other hazards + Must be able to lift at least 32 pounds + Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and shop orders + Communicates with the operations team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures + Must understand general manufacturing and repair processes + Identify assembly process improvements to support e3 cost savings initiatives + Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP ERP system Qualifications: Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: + Experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment + J-STD-001 solder and IPC-610 inspection certification + Experience in a Manufacturing environment + Aerospace and Defense experience a plus + Process Improvement experience + Critical thinking and analytics L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
