Description We are looking for an experienced attorney specializing in intellectual property and licensing agreements to contribute to a dynamic team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a contract position that requires expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements related to innovative technologies. Candidates with a background in the biotech industry will have a distinct advantage. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with intellectual property counsel to develop comprehensive licensing agreements for proprietary technologies. - Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business objectives. - Provide expert advice on intellectual property matters, including licensing strategies and risk assessment. - Conduct thorough research to address legal challenges in the biotech sector. - Ensure all agreements meet regulatory standards and protect organizational interests. - Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal strategies with business goals. - Analyze existing licensing frameworks to recommend improvements. - Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations affecting intellectual property and licensing. - Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. - Address inquiries and resolve issues related to licensing agreements promptly and effectively. Requirements - Proven experience in intellectual property law and licensing agreements. - Strong knowledge of legal standards in the biotech industry. - Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to intellectual property. - Experience collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. - High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities. - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active law license in good standing.
