Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in State College, Pennsylvania, on a long-term contract basis. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting multiple clients with their bookkeeping needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients, ensuring all transactions are properly documented. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections. - Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure account accuracy. - Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining consistency and compliance. - Handle full-charge bookkeeping for select clients, taking ownership of their financial processes. - Conduct monthly account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met. - Utilize QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Pro for efficient data entry and management. - Collaborate with clients to address financial inquiries and provide necessary documentation. - Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required. Requirements - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and Pro). - Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. - Experience in performing bank and credit card reconciliations. - Ability to manage full-charge bookkeeping for multiple clients independently. - Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. - Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
