Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the overall safety and security of residents, staff, visitors, and buildings on campus. * Relates to the needs and concerns of senior adults. * Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion. * Follows Concierge schedules and job routines. * Quickly, accurately, and appropriately solves problems as they arise. * Responds in a timely manner during emergency response and drills. * Assesses and reacts calmly in emergency situations. * Quickly, accurately, and appropriately interprets and responds to resident’s urgent care needs and dispatch appropriate response(s) to calls for assistance. * Works closely and cooperatively with Security staff. * Uses personal computers and programs tied to the campus emergency response system. * Works in conjunction with SARA system. * Performs various computer-based tasks such as data entry, email, internet, and various other software and program use. * Reports believed resident neglect, abuse, or concern for general well being to management. * Reports wear & tear in furnishings, structural defects, equipment break downs, and evidence of pests to management and/or the Maintenance Department. * Uses equipment daily including radios, computers, carts, phones, etc. * Properly stores, maintains, and uses equipment and supplies. * Complies with infection control regulations, guidelines, and policies. * Maintains a clean and presentable work area clear of any trash, food containers, etc. * Attends all required meetings, in-services, and completes all Relias training assignments. * Assists in in-servicing relating to life safety services. * Concierge will be frequently walking and standing to conduct the Visitor, Vendor and Contractor Check-In procedures at the Guardhouse. * Concierge will be frequently walking and standing to complete the Guardhouse Visitor Log and issuing of the Visitor Pass to all Lifespire of Virginia Visitors. * Conduct manual operations of the Main entrance vehicle gates as needed through the manual gate controls.
