Description

Skyworks AI Solutions is at the forefront of audio and voice technology innovation with our analog system on chips (ASoCs). Our ASoCs provide key technologies for consumer audio and gaming products in applications such as smart speakers & microphones, wired & wireless headsets, virtual assistants and gaming controllers. We are continuously growing our team to develop market specific ASoCs which combine breakthrough ultra-low power analog circuits, highly efficient power management, DSP, custom hardware accelerators for smart acoustic signal processing and AI enabled audio features. This internship is in-person in our Hillsboro, OR office from May-August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team developing custom digital IP in sub-45nm mixed-signal CMOS SOCs 
• Develop familiarity with a range of aspects of IC development in a focused and collaborative environment
• ASIC simulation, construction, modeling and other physical design tasks
• Work with a small team to construct and analyze mixed analog and digital circuits in a full custom ASIC design flow.

Required Experience and Skills

Current student studying Electrical engineering or related area of focus.

Candidates must be a local student or be able to temporarily relocate to work full-time hours in office during the period of the 3 month internship.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Familiarity with System Verilog and ASIC physical design is required.
• Experience with a Linux environment is required.
• Lab skills, Python programming and data analysis will also help make you an effective contributor.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (PPT, Visio, Excel and Word).
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and dynamic and love challenges. Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.
• Strong time management skills.
• Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
