For over 120 years, Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has been a distinguished leader in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, celebrated for its enduring commitment to core values, focus on people, and innovative solutions. As a result of our continued growth, Mead & Hunt has an exciting opportunity available for an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering group. This position will be based out of either our Denver, CO or Madison, WI office location.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing building mechanical systems (HVAC) under the guidance of experienced mechanical engineers
• Preparing or working with plans and specifications for building bidding and construction
• Developing 3D models of building systems using Revit
• Assisting with HVAC load calculations, system sizing, mechanical equipment selection
• Attending client meetings
• Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass background check to gain access to military bases and airport sites, and some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or relevant degree from an accredited college or be able to obtain the degree within nine months of hire date.

The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:

• Coursework in subjects related to HVAC design and/or plumbing related projects
• Experience with Revit software
• Previous relevant internship experience
• Experience working in a design team setting

Salary Range: $65,000 and above – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
