Job Title: Field Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer for a 3-5 month contract, to diagnose and resolve complex system issues while guiding others in problem-solving strategies. This role involves serving as the primary technical contact, offering onsite and remote coaching to address challenges effectively. Responsibilities + Conduct system maintenance on field controllers, servers, workstations, and associated hardware. + Identify and communicate technical issues, recommending necessary upgrades, enhancements, or repairs. + Monitor equipment schedules and suggest modifications to optimize performance. + Oversee assigned tasks to ensure timely completion while exceeding customer quality expectations. + Maintain clear documentation and provide status updates to customers throughout the project. + Deliver customized training to owners and operators, ensuring a smooth transition for system upgrades and service improvements. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and Building Automation Controls. + Advanced expertise in TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies. + Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience clearly. + Experience in navigating and integrating various building automation systems. + Ability to interpret and understand Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints. + Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field. + Experience in managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines. + Capability of downloading, analyzing, and troubleshooting complex HVAC and building automation system logic. Work Environment The role requires a blend of onsite and remote work, focusing on maintaining and optimizing building automation systems. The position demands the use of electrical and mechanical skills, with a strong emphasis on understanding and applying automation systems. The work environment is dynamic, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
