Description

At Amazon Key, our mission is to empower our customers, both businesses and consumers, to easily manage access to their homes and workplaces. As part of the Amazon Devices and Ring team, we're inventing new devices, software, and services to solve critical access challenges for our customers.

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead and scale our end-to-end supply chain operations, including team leadership, contract manufacturing, policy and performance management, international logistics compliance, sales and operations effectiveness planning, cost optimization, and technology-driven process improvements. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, Legal, Trade Compliance and Global Logistics to drive alignment and seamless execution of supply chain plans that support Amazon Key’s growth.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the Supply Chain Team: Coach, grow, and support a high-performing supply chain organization. Foster a learning culture, provide flexible team coverage during extended absences, and build scalable mechanisms aligned with industry best practices.
  • Drive Supply Chain Policy and Performance Excellence: Build and continuously evolve policies across inventory, manufacturing, logistics, and planning. Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve team and process efficiency in line with Key’s strategic goals.
  • Own Contract Manufacturing Strategy: Lead contract manufacturer (CM) engagement and strategy. Define scalable processes to manage material commitments, reduce liability exposure, and ensure reliable, quality-focused production support.
  • Influence Materials Planning Strategy: Collaborate with materials and planning experts to shape effective materials planning strategies that support Amazon Key programs. Ensure alignment across BOM readiness, supplier commitments, and material availability to enable successful program execution and scalability.
  • Integrate Product Lifecycle Management with Supply Chain: Serve as a subject matter expert on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and workflows. Ensure seamless coordination between supply chain, product development, and engineering teams to enable smooth transitions across product phases.
  • Deliver Forecasting and Planning Leadership: Own supply, demand, and manufacturing planning processes. Build data-driven planning mechanisms that support short-, mid-, and long-term visibility across global programs.
  • Manage Field Supply Chain Operations: Drive inventory deployment and outbound planning for field operations and installations. Build alignment across supply chain, install operations, and customer delivery functions to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Enable Global Expansion and Compliance: Partner with Global Logistics, Trade Compliance, Tax, and Accounting teams to define and implement compliant, efficient shipping and warehousing strategies for international growth.
  • Implement Tools and Process Automation: Identify and deploy tools, systems, and reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and increase predictability. Create scalable infrastructure to support future business growth.
  • Lead Cost Optimization and Change Initiatives: Identify and deliver cost savings in shipping, materials, and inventory. Champion change management efforts to replace legacy practices with scalable, future-ready supply chain systems and behaviors.
  • Shape and Execute Supply Chain Strategy: Represent the supply chain function in business planning and program launch discussions. Translate high-level business needs into strategic supply chain roadmaps and lead implementation with cross-functional alignment.
