The Town of Brookline is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Landscape Architect/Designer with 5 years plus of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with proven design skills with strong passion for the public realm and community engagement. Brookline has a long history of providing a diverse network of passive and active recreation parks and open spaces for residents and visitors. These Parks, public places, natural areas, and recreational opportunities give life and beauty to the Town and connect people to place, self, and others. What you’ll do:
Qualifications:
• Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Preference for Registered Landscape Architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but not essential.
• 5-7 years of experience.
• Experience in performing professional landscape architecture in all design phases from master planning to construction documentation and administration for parks and open space projects.
• Experience in project coordination with strong management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft suites, rendering, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, and sketching.
• Possession of Massachusetts Class D driver’s license required.
