Salary: $184,000 - 356,500 per year Requirements:

• I require a BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• I am looking for a candidate with 6+ years of relevant software development experience.
• I need someone with expert knowledge and experience in system software design and operating system principles.
• A deep understanding of computer architecture and microprocessor concepts (such as caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.) is essential.
• Proven leadership capabilities and strong ownership of previous projects in settings with complex software and hardware designs are necessary.
• You should possess clear verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build consensus across a large organization.
• Exceptional C programming skills and low-level driver experience are crucial, alongside a strong background in complex system-level debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
• Prior experience with kernel development on Linux, Android, Chrome, or Windows systems is required.

Responsibilities:

• I expect you to lead initiatives to improve Linux for use in autonomous machines in safety-critical environments.
• You will analyze and optimize product performance to meet customer needs.
• I need you to collaborate with internal teams and the upstream community to integrate these capabilities into various open-source packages.

Your base salary will be determined by your location, experience, and comparable positions within the company, with ranges between $184,000 and $287,500 for Level 4, and $224,000 to $356,500 for Level 5. Additionally, you will be eligible for equity and benefits.
