Position Summary: We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop in Columbia, SC. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a team that builds high-quality products used on major mechanical projects.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and assist with setup of fabrication machinery, including shears, brakes, and plasma tables.
• Measure, cut, and form sheet metal according to specifications.
• Read and follow basic blueprints or shop drawings.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of fabricated parts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required — we’ll train the right person!
