Cardiac Study Center – Remote (with initial onsite training in Olympia, WA) - Please note, candidates outside of Washington state will not be considered.

The Position

As a  Remote Triage Clinic RN , you'll serve as a critical clinical touchpoint for our cardiology patients—offering timely education, triaging urgent needs, reviewing test results, and coordinating follow-up care. This position functions remotely, but requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure continuity of care.

Your Day-to-Day Work

  • Provide nurse telephone triage using clinical judgment, standardized protocols, and decision-making tools.
  • Assess patient symptoms and determine urgency of intervention, escalating to providers as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and prescribed medications.
  • Review and triage abnormal cardiac test results, follow through on patient problems like Afib, blood pressure, and post-operative concerns.
  • Document interactions accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with HIPAA and CSC standards.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison between providers, community partners, and clinic staff.
  • Function as a resource for patients, families, and support staff in cardiac health.
  • Collaborate in policy and workflow development to improve care delivery.

Environment and Shift Details

This is a  Per-Diem remote position, with initial  onsite training required in Olympia WA . Occasional travel and intermittent onsite attendance may be required. Nurses must maintain focused, uninterrupted work time during scheduled shifts and adhere to CSC's telecommuting agreement.

Experience & Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Active  Registered Nurse license in Washington State .
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • High attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in telephonic triage or cardiovascular nursing.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and telehealth technology.
  • Licensure in additional states may be required, depending on care coverage areas.
