As a **Security Professional - Government Patrol** in **Santa Cruz, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This primarily driving post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction. **Position Type: Part Time** **Pay Rate: $20.73 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Tue08:00 PM - 04:00 AM Wed08:00 PM - 04:00 AM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. + Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. + Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations while on duty. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must have at least 1 year of security experience. + Must be at least 21 years of age. + A valid driver's license is required and must meet AU Driver Policy requirements. + Possession of a Guard Card or security license is preferred. + This is primarily a driving post; prior experience in similar roles is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more... **Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race/ethnicity, age, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
