Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer III to contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of technical products and systems. This long-term contract role offers an opportunity to engage with innovative technologies and collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure efficient delivery and high-quality solutions. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this position involves hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and system optimization.

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical systems and products to support business objectives.
• Conduct evaluations of engineering designs and suggest improvements to optimize quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in production environments, ensuring system stability.
• Develop monitoring tools and implement maintenance solutions to enhance system reliability.
• Establish and maintain standards and procedures for assessing product quality and readiness for release.
• Collaborate with QA and software engineering teams to streamline continuous delivery processes.
• Automate application deployments using tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Manage and provision applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures, including OpenStack.
• Utilize container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for efficient system operations.
• Develop strategies for effective use of open-source technologies and tools in automation and data management.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of commonly-used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proven expertise in automation tools for software deployment, including Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for continuous integration processes.
• Proficiency in managing systems and IT operations, particularly in cloud environments.
• Advanced skills in data management and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, including branching and tagging strategies.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
