Job Description:

• The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA's) will be performing therapies, recording the notes of each visit, and following up with their patients.
• The SLPA will be empowered to build their schedule with a Supervisor and maintain it consistently.
• The SLPA will be given the tools (software/program) to facilitate the secretarial needs of their schedules (i.e., confirming appointments), and will be expected to have computer and smartphone literacy for this reason.
• Some traveling can be expected, as we also offer services not only at our offices but at the daycare centers and schools in the surrounding area.s
• The SLPA will meet with their Supervisor at least once a month and work on therapy strategies.

Education/Certificates:

• B.S. in Communications Disorders, or a similar degree
• License from the State of Florida. 

Note: Candidates without a valid license or no related courses on their resume will not be considered.

Skills:

• English speaking
• Bilingual (English, Spanish)
• Computer literacy
• Smartphone literacy.

Required Work Experience:

• At least 1 year of working with children.

Responsibilities:

• Employ therapy proficiently;
• Engage in patient-centered care;
• Maintain a consistent roster of patients;
• Organize your schedule;
• Use the software and programs provided;
• Work with the patient's parents/guardians.
