Hiring for Surgery Scheduler at Methodist McKinney Hospital (Full Time- Day Shift)

General Summary Of Duties

• Counseling patients and scheduling surgeries for multiple physicians.
• Schedule surgeries and work with primary care physicians on a daily basis to ensure each patient has their history and physicals completed prior to surgery.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for each procedure on the physicians’ schedule.
• Precertify any procedures on the schedule that require pre-certification.
• Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with a diverse patient population.
• Provide back up support for the Front Office as needed.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Minimum 2 years experience if scheduling experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required.
• Experience in a surgical facility preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Requires language skills adequate for written and interpersonal communication
• Require visual and auditory acuity adequate from frequent use of computers, Occasional use of other business office equipment.
• Ability to sit for long periods and to perform desk and office activities
