Pay Information

$2,340 to $2,683 per week

Shift Details

Nights - 3 x 12 hours

About the Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced respiratory care to pediatric patients across critical care and neonatal intensive care settings. This role requires extensive experience in managing complex respiratory conditions, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and high-acuity patient care in both PICU and Level IV NICU environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care services including vent management, intubations, extubations, suctioning, and treatments.

  • Manage pediatric patients requiring advanced modes of ventilation, including oscillators, CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, and NAVA ventilation.

  • Provide care to trach patients and those requiring specialized therapies such as INO and PEP.

  • Collaborate with PICU, NICU, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver patient-centered care.

  • Support a variety of patient populations including cardiac, medical, and surgical ICU patients.

  • Float as needed between PICU, NICU, and other designated units based on census and staffing needs.

  • Document accurately in Epic Clin Doc per facility protocols.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum)

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current WI Respiratory Care License (required)

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)

  • AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NRP certifications (all required)

Experience:

  • 3 5 years of pediatric critical care or NICU experience; must be competent in both PICU and Level IV NICU.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency with Servo I, Servo U, LTVs, Astral, Trilogy, and oscillators

  • Experience managing vents, trach patients, and advanced ventilation therapies

  • Strong critical thinking and pediatric patient management skills
