Title: Forensic Accounting Associate (Contract)
Location: Primarily Remote – Candidates based in NY, DC, NJ, or Philadelphia preferred
Duration: 4+ months (Full-time, ~8 hours/day)

Overview:
A leading consulting firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Forensic Accounting Associate to support corporate investigation projects. This role offers exposure to a variety of engagements and requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct forensic accounting investigations and analysis across diverse client engagements
Support multiple investigative projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Apply accounting expertise to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and trends in financial data
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and documentation
Work closely with internal teams to drive project outcomes
Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
5–6 years of relevant experience in forensic accounting, audit, or investigations
CPA preferred, or strong accounting knowledge required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Background in forensic consulting or investigations
Experience at a Big 4 or similar consulting firm is a plus
Spanish language skills strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; analytics experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and highly self-sufficient
Level: Senior Associate or Associate, based on experience
