Job Description

Join Our Production Team

We’re hiring in Romeoville for a hands-on Production role in our Production department. You’ll report to the Shift Supervisor and help ensure every product meets customer expectations and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce high-quality products that meet customer specs and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor.
  • Follow instructions and training related to Safety, QA, GMPs, and USDA rules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist teammates and the Supervisor when requested.
  • Keep pace with the production line while delivering your best effort.
  • Adhere to good handwashing and the employee hygiene plan.
  • Report any potential food safety or quality concern immediately to supervision and/or QA.
  • Meet applicable customer-specific requirements.
  • Support the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing daily.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned or volunteered.

Accountability

Accountable for the production of a quality product that fulfills customer and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Hard working, dependable, safety conscious and team oriented.
  • Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent; basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Core Skills & Background

  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or shipping/receiving
  • Material handling and heavy lifting; comfort with hand jacks
  • Weighing raw materials, mixing, and packaging
  • FSQA awareness and commitment to hygiene/GMPs

Food Safety & Quality

  • Escalate any food safety or quality issue immediately.
  • Report any risk or evidence of unsafe or out-of-spec product, equipment, packaging, or raw materials to a designated manager for immediate action.
