We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer for a contract assignment at a hospital-based imaging department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both general and vascular ultrasound studies, with interventional radiology (IR) experience preferred. The role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Unit ProfilePerforms a variety of ultrasound exams, including general, vascular, and specialized studies.
Collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
Plays an important role in diagnostic imaging services to support patient treatment plans.
Perform general, vascular, and specialized ultrasound studies per physician orders.
Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure comfort during imaging.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to review and interpret imaging results.
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all regulatory and quality standards.
Assist with interventional radiology procedures as needed (preferred skill).
Active BLS certification (AHA).
Registered with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
Strong background in general and vascular sonography .
Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred.
Previous hospital or outpatient imaging experience strongly desired.
